The statue carved entirely by hand It represents the crowned holy Virgin seated with the scapular in the right hand and the baby Jesus on the left leg.   • Hand-carved Egyptian yellow marble statue representing the Sacred heart of Jesus with open arms to welcome sinners. The devotion of the Sacred Heart of Jesus can be traced back to the origins of medieval German mysticism but it flourished in the seventeenth century and then in the eighteenth century gave rise to a great and sometimes harsh debate between Jansenists who considered idolatrous worship and the Congregation of Rites.
